DIMONDS Collaborates with Passer Lanyu to Facilitate Successful Delivery of Wenchong’s 9,500 CBM Multifunctional Gas Carrier Project

Recently, the 9,500 CBM LNG/LEG/LPG multifunctional gas carrier project, jointly built by DIMONDS and Passer Lanyu for Wenchong, has been successfully completed and delivered. This project marks a technological breakthrough for China in the field of high-end gas transportation equipment, further solidifying the competitiveness of domestic equipment in the global market.

As the core supplier of cryogenic insulation technology for the project, DIMONDS's independently developed ultra-low-temperature spray foam material was successfully applied to the insulation system of the carrier's LNG tanks. With exceptional low-temperature resistance (-196°C), high bonding strength, and extremely low thermal conductivity, this material ensures the safe long-distance storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other media. It also significantly reduces energy consumption, providing a green and energy-efficient solution for vessel operations. The material's technical specifications meet international advanced standards and have earned high recognition from project partners.

During the collaboration, DIMONDS and Passer Lanyu leveraged their respective technical strengths to jointly overcome challenges such as material stability under ultra-low temperatures and structural compatibility of the tanks, ensuring efficient project progress. The Wenchong 9,500 CBM carrier can flexibly transport LNG, liquefied ethylene gas (LEG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and other gases. Its multifunctional design and intelligent control system set a new benchmark for global clean energy transportation.
